NeighborWorks is excited to be able to offer Down Payment Assistance loans to qualified Borrowers. This loan can be done in coordination with most lenders and allows the Borrower to qualify for a home in a higher price range.

A down payment assistance loan is a second loan that sits behind the loan of the Primary Lender and requires no monthly payments. The loan is paid off when the house is sold or refinanced in the future. The qualified income amount is dependent on the number of people in the household. NeighborWorks of Grays Harbor recently received a grant from the Grays Harbor County Department of Health to have a feasibility study done for vacant property owned by NeighborWorks in south Aberdeen. This feasibility study is intended to outline the development costs of this property to put in up to 15 modular housing units. The study is already underway and is expected to be completed by September of 2026. Plans are in the works to apply for additional money to fund the next phase of development which would be the installation of utility infrastructure. and site preparation.
